The 2016 Classic Rock
The 2017 Hot Rods in
Every summer,in June on the Saturday before Fathers Day, the Classic Rock Cruise In transforms historic downtown Castle Rock into a showplace for all kinds of cool cars, trucks and motorcycles. The main streets are closed for the day so that over 300 entries can be displayed by their proud owners and admired by thousands of spectators. The Classic Rock Cruise In has something for everyone - cars, shops, live music, restaurants, attractions for the kids, and many specialty vendor booths. We have an entry class for everyone. Class winners are determined by the votes of the entrants, including Best of Show. We usually present 35 trophies in 17 classes, including a Mayor's Choice, Hottest Car (picked by the Fire Chief) and Most Likely to Get Pulled Over (picked by the Police Chief). It's a fun, friendly show in a beautiful small town setting. Check this website starting in April for details on how to pre-register for next year's Cruise In.
The show is organized and produced by a partnership of the Vintage Car Club and the Castle Rock Downtown Merchants Association, and in 2013 was awarded the Governor's Award for Downtown Excellence as the Best Promotional Event in Colorado. The proceeds from the show are shared by the Downtown Merchants and the VCC. The VCC in turn donates a portion of its share to support several local charities.
Classic Rock Cruise In
Hotrods in the Village
The second of our annual car events is a real contrast to the Classic Rock Cruise In. Hot Rods in the Village is a smaller, more intimate and informal gathering of car owners in the Castle Pines Village, located on Happy Canyon Road at Santa Fe in Castle Rock. This show may be smaller but it offers another beautiful setting amongst the shops and restaurants of the Village. Dash plaques, trophies, a live band, and (usually) a booth selling cold beer are all included.
